Regulated Colloidal Dispersion (RCD) enables Exuderm to manage and absorb exudate while maintaining its integrity. The dressing's soft gel provides nontraumatic removal and simplifies wound cleansing, making dressing changes easier. Exuderm RCD provides a protective, occlusive barrier, facilitating granulation or autolytic debridement if necessary. Indication: To manage dermal ulcers, pressure ulcers and leg ulcers. May be used on stage I-IV pressure ulcers, partial-thickness and full thickness wounds, minor abrasions, second degree burns and donor sites. Wounds with slough or necrosis. Wounds with light drainage. Contraindication: Contraindicated for third degree burns unless otherwise advised by a clinical professional. Application: 1. Cleanse the application site with saline or appropriate cleanser such as Skintegrity Wound Cleanser. Dry the surrounding area to ensure it is free of any greasy substance. 2. Select the appropriate size dressing for the wound. Be sure to allow at least 11/4"-11/2" of attachment to healthy peri-wound skin. 3. Remove the paper carrier from the dressing, center Exuderm over the site and apply to skin using a "rolling" motion. Smooth the dressing into place, especially around edges and hold in place for 30 seconds to maximize adhesive qualities. 4. If necessary, use tape around the edges to avoid roll-up. Removal: 1. Carefully press down onto the skin and lift an edge of the dressing. Continue around the dressing until all edges are free. 2. Repeat cleansing procedure.
